Deborah DePace, President
Functioning as Advance Sound Company's President, Deborah has been at the forefront of the changes in audio and visual systems integration. Under her tenure as president, Deborah has seen the vast changes in technology and moved with current trends. Her ability to adapt with changes has allowed Advance Sound Company to flourish, while being selected to beta test many products which have become common place in today's corporate environment.
Through Deborah's leadership, Advance Sound Company has evolved from its beginnings as an intercom and paging company to an Audiovisual Systems Integration firm with premiere partnerships with all the industry's leading manufacturers. Deborah's focus of connections and training has creating lasting relationships with associations like AVIXA and the National Systems Contractors Association. In 2014 Deborah and Advance Sound Company received their Women Business Enterprise (WBE) designation from NYS Division of Minority and Women-Owned Business. Deborah has also obtained her Restricted Electrical License from Suffolk County.
Deborah is an active member of several organizations, both local and national including the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), and various local Chambers of Commerce. Focusing on the preservation in music and the arts, Deborah and Advance Sound Company actively support Carnegie Hall, The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and more.
In addition to her exemplary track record as a technology driven career-woman, Deborah maintains a great work-life balance and instills strong family values while still taking the time to reflect and refocus. As her family and friends can attest to; she is a woman who conquers any obstacle or challenge she wishes to overcome.
Al DePace, Sr. Manager of Project Management
Al has spent the past thirty-five years of his life working in and understanding the audio-visual systems integration industry. As a graduate of SUNY Farmingdale, with a degree in electrical engineering, Al took on a management role at Advance Sound Company, working in sales and project management before reaching his current position. Al is active in the industry participating in the safety committee for the National Electrical Contractors Association, retaining associate membership at both the Suffolk and Nassau chapters of the Association of School Buildings and Grounds Supervisors, and participating as an associate partner of the Suffolk County Music Educators Association. Al is also a member of NSCA and AVIXA, while participating in many select or premiere dealer councils.
Gerard Verdi, CTS, Sr. Manager of Sales and Development
Gerard has been an asset to Advance Sound Company since becoming a member of the team in early 2002. Having a background in audio mixing and carpentry afforded Gerard the opportunity to excel in designing systems while having a basic knowledge of construction. In his role as sales manager, Gerard has maintained an active role in the industry as he continues his education as a Certified Technical Specialist. Gerard has maintained a healthy relationship with all of Advance Sound Company’s manufacturing partners, increasing our line card to include most recently Yamaha Commerical Audio and QOMO.
In addition to his work as our Senior Manager of Sales and Development, Gerard is a skilled audiovisual system designer and his work can be found both regionally and nationally. His successes in understanding the needs of the client have allowed Advance Sound Company to have long-standing relationships with clients such as Blink Fitness, with his designs being implemented in over 50 locations, as well as the the New York Public Library. Most recently the addition of such integrator and user friendly equipment has led to a feature of the small group training rooms at Blink Fitness for Attero Tech's Bluetooth Interfaces.
Thomas DePace, CTS, C.O.O. & Sr. Engineering Manager
Thomas joined the Advance Sound Company in 2007 after graduation with a degree in International Business and minors in Music and Economics from Marist College. Immediately following graduation, Thomas participated in a summer associateship program at Bogen Communications, where he was afforded the opportunity to understand the audiovisual industry as well as gain valuable insight from distributors and integrators around the world. Since joining Advance Sound Company, Thomas has obtained his NYS Alarm Installer License and Restricted Electrical License from Suffolk County.
In 2010, Thomas was a 30 Under 30 Young Professionals Award Recipient from the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. Thomas has expanded the core competencies of Advance Sound Company from audiovisual system, to include network infrastructure, lighting control and automation, as well as access control and IP security systems. Thomas has been recognized by the audiovisual industry as a 2011 NSCA Movers and Shakers Awards Recipient and in 2015 as a Commercial Integrator 40 Under 40 Awards Recipient.
Most recently Thomas' design work will be recognized as Advance Sound Company is a 2017 NECA Project Excellence Award Winner for work done on Molloy College's Barbara H. Hagan Center for Nursing Excellent. Thomas continues to tailor his skills to the ever-changing technological landscape and works with both clients and design firms to achieve optimal system functionality and use. Thomas is an avid fisherman and self-proclaimed DIY expert wondering why HGTV has not picked up his show "Pick Up DePace."
Nick Divisconti, Project Manager
Nick joined the Advance Sound Company team in 2006, and since then continually strives for excellence. As a lead project manager, Nick oversees the daily operations of current and outstanding projects. With a great eye for detail and a constant goal to strive for perfection, Nick has championed larger projects effectively managing schedules and equipment disbursement. Nick is currently seeking industry certification and will soon join the ranks as certified technical specialist.
